Thermally Modified Wood
Thermally-modified wood is environmentally safe, renewable, and performs better than commonly used pressure treated wood. Thermal modification is an advanced, proprietary method of combining heat and steam to turn wood into a new, vastly improved outdoor construction material that is more insect and weather resistant so it combats warping, cupping and twisting and insects. Thermally modified wood is ideal for decks, wood patios, fence and rail systems, home siding, and just about any other outdoor wood application you can imagine.

Non-toxic and chemical free, thermally modified wood is the ideal substitute for tropical wood species, because it helps reduce the harvesting of rainforest trees.
Species available thermally modified:
Ash, Hickory, Maple, Oak, Poplar, Southern Yellow Pine

DAT Lumber
Dried After Treatment Lumber is a manufacturing process that pressure treats the wood with CAC UC4A ground contact solution, then dries the wood in a low heat long timeframe environment to an average moisture content of 19%. This DAT process provides many benefits:
-
Reduces checking, cracking and warping.
-
Eliminates drying time associated with just pressure treated lumber. This means you can sand, mill or stain immediately.
-
Cleaner and lighter. No wet residue.
-
Improves nail and fastener holding power.
-
Environmentally friendly as the solution is permanently fixed within the wood
