Thermally Modified Wood

Landmark proudly offers the ThermalPro Wood line of thermally modified wood — an environmentally safe, renewable alternative to pressure-treated lumber. Through an advanced, proprietary process that combines heat and steam, ThermalPro transforms ordinary wood into a high-performance building material with superior durability and dimensional stability.

The result? Wood that naturally resists moisture, warping, cupping, twisting, and insect damage — without the use of chemicals.

Thermally modified wood is the ideal choice for siding and cladding, decking and fencing, doors and windows, saunas and wine cellars, cabinetry and custom millwork, and outdoor structures of all kinds

Non-toxic and chemical-free, ThermalPro Wood is also an eco-conscious substitute for tropical hardwoods — helping reduce the need for rainforest harvesting while delivering the same warm, natural beauty.

Species available thermally modified:

Ash, Hickory, Maple, Oak, Poplar, Southern Yellow Pine

DAT Lumber

Dried After Treatment Lumber is a manufacturing process that pressure treats the wood with CAC UC4A ground contact solution, then dries the wood in a low heat long timeframe environment to an average moisture content of 19%. This DAT process provides many benefits:

  • Reduces checking, cracking and warping.

  • Eliminates drying time associated with just pressure treated lumber. This means you can sand, mill or stain immediately.

  • Cleaner and lighter. No wet residue.

  • Improves nail and fastener holding power.

  • Environmentally friendly as the solution is permanently fixed within the wood

Landmark’s DAT Dimensional Lumber, in #1 Premium and Clear (C&Btr) grades, is available in  2”x 4”-10” lumber, 5/4”x 6” E4E deck boards and 4”x4” timbers. Landmark’s DAT Dimensional Lumber delivers superior quality, better workability and higher stability than standard pressure treated lumber.
